Sunday, 1:00 - 2:00 PM in Spanish

BAPTISM

Pre-Baptismal instructions are given three times a year. Parents are encouraged to attend prior to the birth of their child.

MARRIAGE

To insure sufficient time is available for adequate preparation and pastoral counseling, couples should contact their pastor preferably six months in advance of the anticipated wedding date.

Weddings will be celebrated on Saturdays either in the morning before noon, or at 1:00p in the afternoon. Weddings with Mass will be celebrated in the morning only. Weddings may be celebrated at St. James or St. Thomas. A Friday evening wedding may be arranged at St. Thomas. Wedding rehearsals at St. James should not conflict with the scheduled Holy Hour from 5-6p on Friday evenings. They must be completed by 4:50p or held after 6:00p.

Pastoral Care of the Sick:

Members of the staff are always ready to minister to those who are sick. Holy Eucharist is offered to those in the hospital, nursing homes and to those confined to their homes. The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is celebrated for all persons experiencing the weakening affects of old age, life threatening illness and for persons facing major surgery. Contact the church office.

Pastoral Counseling/Spiritual Direction:

There are times when we all need help to understand our inner conflicts and to be open to the role God plays in our lives. We also feel called to strengthen our personal relationships with God. Pastoral counseling or spiritual direction is available with our pastor here at St. James. Contact the church office for an appointment.

Social Services:

Through St. Vincent de Paul fund, our church supports agencies in our region such as Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, Alpha House, Gardner Simmons Home, Faith Haven and the Shepard Center.
